Sometimes things get so busy, and I get distracted by editing, that I forget how much I really just love taking pictures. I used to take pictures while I cooked and baked all the time! Recently, though, I haven’t been taking too many pictures of anything at all outside of sessions with clients.
So last night, after having finished 95% of my actual editing work for the year, I made some yummy pasta and took pictures. Cooking is one of my favorite things to do, and combining that with photography, is a wonderful combination of challenge and relaxation.
Here’s the link to the blog post I did on my personal blog with the recipe and all that if you want want to read it. But over here, it’s all about the pictures.
It’s important to take a step back sometimes and give yourself a chance to remember why you love what you do. Things can get stressful; your mind can get worn out, and you can lose your creativity. It can be hard to feel inspired when you do the same thing all the time. I recommend trying something like this! Make some cookies, go for a walk, wrap a present, organize a room–but take some pictures while you do it! Try to make something mundane look interesting.
