Family Photos at Park City McPolin Farm

This set is from several months ago but I come back to it frequently. Time after time I prove to myself that the best photos come from moments when the camera is forgotten. And I truly believe that’s because the best photos are also of our real selves.

The first photo in this set was taken AFTER our session ended, after I had gotten in to my car, and after Kaycee had returned entirely to her natural mom mode, keeping her kids warm and safe near a busy road and waiting for the car to be unlocked.

This is just proof to me that quiet minutes and patience during sessions and especially regular life are totally a-okay. They are when we are ourselves, and that’s kind of the whole point of life  <3
