HOW IT ALL WORKS

I'll be there from start to finish with you, whatever that means for you, your family, and your birth. This is where you can find details on what to expect, how to book, and price.

I'M THE KIND OF PHOTOGRAPHER THAT LOVES CATCHING EMOTIONS, TENDER MOMENTS, AND RELATIONSHIPS AT THEIR BEST, MOST REAL. THIS IS EXACTLY THE KIND OF PHOTOS YOU'LL GET OF YOUR BIRTH TOO.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Labor is long and births are so personal! It's a huge priority of mine that we get to know each other early on and feel comfortable being real together -- because I'm going to see you naked and doing the hardest/coolest thing you've ever done! Which is awesome! We can meet/talk as many times as you want before the birth. I want to be a positive energy in your room, help where I can, and document your story exactly as it happens. We'll make a custom plan for your birth photos together, whatever that means for you.
• I am on-call the 4 weeks surrounding your due date. That includes holidays, blizzards, and 3 AM deliveries (TBH I'll probably be awake at that time anyway).
• I'll be there with you through active labor or C-section prep, and 2 hours after birth to photograph baby's exam, meeting parents, and first latch.
• I'll send you the first few photos within 2 days so you can celebrate with them. The rest of the images will be edited and delivered to you within 6 weeks.
• Always included is an online gallery where you can view your images, order prints, and share. You are welcome to print your images at home or through me. Your gallery comes with a built-in personalized print store where you can order high quality professtional prints, printed albums, and gifts.

I'm there as a support person while I document. We'll laugh and talk along the way, and end up the kind of forever friends who feel connected even when we don't always talk.

AVAILABILITY + BOOKING

I only book one birth per month so my attention and energy aren't spread too thin, and there's no risk of early or late babies conflicting with each other. I try to keep this page updated with my availability:

JANUARY / FEBRUARY / MARCH / APRIL / MAY / JUNE / JULY / AUGUST / SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER / NOVEMBER / DECEMBER

All of these steps should happen to book:

• SEND ME A MESSAGE! We can answer each other's initial questions over email/text/phone.
• IN-PERSON or VIDEO CHAT. Let's get together for a longer chat face-to-face. This is where we can get to know each other a lot more and go over all the details. It gives us a chance to make sure we gel and can spend hours of labor together.
• PAYMENT and AGREEMENT. Whenever you're ready to book, whether we've gone over the finer details in person yet or not, your birth month is officially reserved for you with a retainer and signed electronic agreement.

A $500 non-refundable retainer is due at the time of booking with the remaining balance due by the end of 36 weeks.

I'm committed to making birth photography available to everyone - payment plans and trade options are on the table.

PRICE

Birth story sessions are $1500 + tax. And most families plan to spend a minimum of $300 on prints and albums.
